More Tales From Trufflington

greenprints2.jpg

Well hello again. I am going to start my second page as I have lots more to tell you about my people and myself.I hope you are enjoying my site. I could tell you about this or I could tell you about that, but I think I will tell you about something different.

One day, or should I say night, my Mum and Dad decided they would stay up late. Well they were doing something on the computer.(They only had one then but now they have two). This is getting away from the story. I wanted to go to bed like young dogs do, you see I am not yet two..

Anyway as I said I wanted to go to bed so I laid at their feet, I yawned, I made nice little noises, I looked at them with my big brown eyes, I sighed, but they still took no notice of me.

So I went and got my noisiest toy and it has a very loud squeak. Well you know what I am going to say next. Yes I squeaked it and kept it up for what seemed a long time; then it was "be quiet, oh! PLEASE be quiet". Still they did take notice of me now, but then they took my squeaky toy away. .

" Now then" I thought, what should I do next. Do you no what I did next? Of course you don't, I haven't told you yet have I. I took the pen they were using and the paper as it came out of the printer and put it in my big water bowl.I laughed and laughed.OH BOY did I get in trouble, not just a little bit but a lot and got sent to bed. .

Well that's where I had been trying to go. I still could not go to sleep, they kept coming in and making tea or should I say coffee. At last they went to bed. It was by then 4 am and at last I could get some sleep. Now this is not the end of this story but I will finish it next time.

Here I am to finish the story Iwas telling you. The morning arrives, mum and dad get up and start banging around,(now you would think with them going to bed late that they would getup late, not a bit of it,it's only 7am and they are up as usual). They say "come on T, time to go out".That's what they think I lay there with my paws over my eyes trying to sleep and holding my ears down to keep out the noise..

Next I get a nudge "Come on T let's go out". I AM NOT GOING OUT I AM GOING TO SLEEP THANK YOU.Well mum and dad get on with the usual things and have there breakfast, the clock strikes eight and once again I am given a nudge,"come on Truffs, time to go out". No way dad, I am asleep so go away. .

Well in the end Dad won and I had to go for a walk, but I made sure I took my time, yawned, stretched, and yawned again, gave myself a big shake to get my coat going every which way like I like it.

So on went my Haltie then my lead and of we went. There was nobody about, seeing it's Sunday and all sensible two legged and four legged people are in bed having a lie in .Oh!I wish it was me,I wouldn't mind normally but I had a very late night and to do a route march when you are half asleep is not funny. .

I may bump into that lamp post again. I said to myself "T keep alert", and I did try but then I did it, I walked straight into a wall! Luckily the wall is only a small one so did no damage to myself but the flowers the other side were another thing. .

Dad said "wake up T, stop clowning around", but I couldn't say "hey you, I haven't had much sleep" because he hadn't either. Dad can we go home now please, and I can go back to bed. Oh ,bliss.... "Lets go home T". Thanks Dad.
